GREETINGS FROM KOREA

Greetings From Korea

After many long days, weeks and months we have finally made it to Korea.

This was a big undertaking and so much hard work and preparation went into moving to Korea.  As you know we sold our home and we sold one of our vehicles.  The other vehicle is on it's way here by ship and we hope to have it soon.  We have lived in Hotels for over a month now and although it was hard there have been some amazing and great times as well along the way.

First we stayed on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX.  Then we went to visit my mom and my sister in Mississippi and it was so good to see them.  We went back to San Antonio and stayed at the Army Lodging there until we flew to Utah and then on to Seattle.  We stayed a few days in Seattle in a glorious resort hotel and we just relaxed and enjoyed some down time.

Then we flew out of Seattle to Japan on the 12th of July and then from Japan on to Korea.  It is one of the hardest trip I have ever taken in my life.  I actually had a bit of a breakdown in Japan.  I was tired and hot and had been on a plane for over 11 hours.  I was in a very strange place and I was cramping really bag from the flight.  I was in so much pain and I there were a few little things that happened that scared me, so I just started crying and could not stop.

After a short 2 hour flight from Japan, we finally landed in Korea.  I was so very happy to finally be here and before to long we took a bus to Seoul and they put us in a beautiful hotel there.  We spent a few days there and it was so nice.  My only problem was I could hardly walk after our trip here.  My legs hurt so badly that I had trouble getting up and it was not until a few days ago that the pain and cramps finally stopped.  This trip was very hard on me and our entire family but we made it!!!

We are currently staying in Guest Lodging until we find a home here in Korea.  We have actually found the place where we want to stay but it won't be ready until next month so we are taking a temporary home until then.  Here are a few photo collages so you can get an idea of what the apartments here look like.  They are actually very modern with high end finishes.  the ovens here are smaller than what we use in American but they are super nice.

Kitchen and Living

We did not get any good photos of the living space but it is beautiful.  I love the entry tile work, the kitchen island and the beautiful bathrooms.  These bath rooms can be completely sprayed down and cleaned and everything goes down the drain.  My dream bathroom!!!!

And look at this view...

Our temporary apartment has a beautiful
red and white kitchen.

Sorry this isn't the best picture.

We are having such a great time here.  The people are all very friendly and they love Americans. We are finding new and exciting things everyday.

Soon we hope to settle down and then I can get back to crafting, decorating, cooking and sharing.

Until then here is my new Etude House Perfume.

Etude House is a brand of makeup in Korea.  I have known about them for a long time and I have some of their things but I was so excited to finally visit a store here in Korea.
Tiffany and I had so much fun there and we got so many pretty things.

I hope everyone is doing well and I will see you soon.

Hugs, Beverly
