MY PINK VINTAGE CHRISTMAS!

My Pink Vintage Christmas!

My Vintage Angels

Isn't it funny how the very things that bring you such heartfelt joy are also the things that can bring you to tears.  Christmas time is a very nostalgic time for me, I suppose it is for many people.  It brings back memories of a little girl I knew so very long ago.  She loved the Christmas ornaments and all the decorations.  Santa and gifts were okay but oh the decorations....

Vintage Paper and Spun Cotton Snowmen

As an adult I find myself drawn to the ornaments and decorations from the 1960's, which just so happens to be when I was very small.  I am fortunate that I have quite the collection.  These precious things from long ago somehow fill my heart with joy and sadness at the same time.  I guess it is that nostalgic feeling and the loss of that little girl.  We all grow up but that doesn't mean we can't still play.

I hung her in our tree,
I thought she looked like a snow Princess.

Playing for me means opening up those storage boxes that I pack so carefully last year.  Then unwrapping each ornament and/or decoration and holding it in my hand.  Thinking where does this belong and watching each piece one by one find it's place in our home for the holidays.

These are some of our ornaments that will adorn our Christmas tree this year.  I took photos of them as I pulled them and got ready to hang them on our tree.  I had so much fun decorating and I wanted to share my joy with everyone.
