CHRISTMAS DECORATING

I like to get a jump start on Christmas decorating. I do several trees so the sooner I get started the better. I like to have everything done by Thanksgiving. I start in my front room and work my way through the house. So this week I got out my decorations for the front room and I am almost finished with that room. Well that is to say if I actually ever really finish decorating a room. So with that thought in mind I must look for some new vintage items. I love to add at least a few special things to my collection each year. The other day I found these adorable little angels which I intend to use for my decorations and I found these really cute little angel paper mache ornaments. I will add the paper mache ones to my little village. Here are a few pictures. I will add more pictures when I have placed my new (new to me) babies where I want them.

First are my little Angel Babies

This is my village. I made all the houses from plain little houses I bought a few years ago. Of course I had to paint, glitter and decorate them each. My vintage PINK Christmas tree and my vintage snowman round out my village. I got the vintage snowmen last year and I so love them.

This is my little church

Happy Decorating!!!

  1. I love your taste in decorating! You did a beautiful job with your village houses. I also do a vintage Christmas. I start with a 1950's style Christmas tree ( the big lights and glass ornaments). I have my mom's manger set from the 1950s. Then I go on from there. So many beautiful memories from my childhood! I have a pink glitter Church from Victorian Trading Company. You would love this catalog, Beverly. Warm Wishes, Darlene
